Surprise!

We're moving this week!  (And what am I doing posting on my blog? Um.  Definitely not avoiding packing. Nope.)

Ok, maybe it's not that big of a surprise to a lot of you.  We've been planning this move for a long time now; we just haven't known the details, like when, and where.  But last week, through a miraculous turn of events (including perfect timing, not feeling settled on another place, fasting, being led while driving to the neighborhood, and dreams), we found the exact place we were looking for.  It's a 5-min drive to school for Mine, it's right across the street from a church (a plus for a few reasons), the rent is reasonable and includes all utilities + internet, it's 2200 ft2, newly finished basement apartment with brand new appliances, carpet, etc., and the owners (who live upstairs) are Chinese.  (I feel that last point  is something the Lord insisted on for both of our sakes.)  Oh, I know there will be parts that we don't like, even eventually some of these aspects that we LOVE right now.  But there is NO doubt in my mind that this is where we need to be for this next year.

So, with a sigh of relief that we have found a new home, we are picking up and getting there by the end of this week.  Then we can make sure our old home is cleaned and ready for the (hopefully) new owners coming in at the end of the month.  Now we're just praying we close on this contract and actually sell this place....
